Join the ocean lifeguards team in North Myrtle Beach and spend your days guarding the Atlantic Ocean. Imagine how tanned you will be at the end of the summer.
To become an ocean lifeguard at the beach you have to be a good swimmer, eligible to swim 500 meters in less than 10 minutes and able to act quickly.
After arrival in North Myrtle Beach, you will participate in the 7-day Lifeguard Academy. Returning guards should attend a 2- day recertification.
Start date no later than 10th of June.
You have to pass drug test and physical training „Lifeguard Academy“ (with swim test – 500m within 10 minutes) upon arrival.
It takes a minimum of 4 or 5 business days to complete the Academy with all paperwork and tests. (You are paid for Academy)
Then you have to undergo about three days of „shadowing“, during which you are accompanied by a senior lifeguard at the beach. The senior lifeguard shows you how things are done, and you observe to learn. After these few days, you are expected to work independently.
