Positions and duties: candidates should choose 3 positions, specific position will be chosen after skype interview with the employer

Front Desk,  Hospitality crew, Cleaner, Prep Cook, Dishwasher, Guide
positions for returnees students: Covered Wagon Guide/ Teamster Guide

  • Greet guests as they arrive and depart
  • Provide professional level entertainment on a guided tour
  • Help Teamster with Horses and with Gear
  • Knowledge of Driving a Draft Horse Team and ability to groom Horses and lift Feet and check for Rocks in shoes
  • Effectively and positively communicate with guests, employees, and vendors at all times
  • Diplomatic and prompt handling of guest complaints
  • Ability to work a varied schedule

Requirements: professionalism, confidence, and knowledge. Excellent communication, customer service, and multi-tasking skills are required. Maintain a positive attitude in high-stress situations.

Wage and housing

WAGE:

Prep Cook, Server, Hostess $12 plus tips

Dishwasher, Cook, Guide, Front Desk $14

Golf Caddie $14 plus tips

Housekeeping $15

Work schedule: 40 hours per week on average

All jobs receive tips and possible + $1 to the hourly wage, that is depending on performance and work ethics. We offer gift certificates for a wide range of things for good attendance, customer service, and things of that nature.

HOUSING:

The rent is $105/week/person.

Dormitory style, 2 tenants sharing a room, about $450 per month, walking distance

Employees get a 30% discount in an onsite restaurant (approx. price of meal $10). Students can get some food from the employer (usually frozen or snack food, no big cooking). From time to time students go to Fairbanks for bigger grocery-shopping in Walmart or FredMeyers supermarket.

How to get there? ✈

To get to Denali Park, fly to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport or Fairbanks International Airport. Several municipal airports offer local service, including Palmer Municipal Airport and Kenai Municipal Airport.

Denali Park, Alaska – originally established as Mt. McKinley National Park in 1917. Mt McKinley 2nd largest mountain in the world. Home to caribou, grizzly bear, black bear, snowshoe hare, coyotes, lynx, owls, bald eagles and mosquitoes (35 different spieces in Alaska)
