The employer also offers positions for pool cleaners. If some of your friends want to join you but do not want to work as lifeguards, they can also register. Pool cleaners have a different schedule than lifeguards: they work on 3 shifts (cca 6:30-10am, 12-2pm, after 4pm). They work a minimum of 56 hours/week.

This information is from the previous season. The fee amount will be updated soon for WAT 2026: CPO (Certified Pool Operator) class will be held in Prague and in Brno (or individually in the USA). The cost of this course is $350 (first time students – valid for 3 years) or $250 (returning students) — it will be used as a bonus (MINUS $100 for books and class) if a student has no issues all summer (i.e. THEY DON’T LEAVE EARLY, NO CELL PHONE USE, NO LAPTOPS, NO BEING LATE, KEEPING CORRECT CHEMISTRY, NO SLEEPING AT WORK, NO PUSH-UPS OR SIT-UPS INSTEAD OF WATCHING THE POOL, NO SWIMM LESSONS AT THE POOL), they will get $250 back.

WAGE:

1^st time guards: $17
returning guards: $17.50
cleaners: $17
returning cleaners: $17.50

If you are a second-timer and previously worked for another lifeguard company, Premier Pool will pay you the wage of a returning guard/cleaner.

Cleaners get 56 hours weather permitting, lifeguards 45-50 hours weather permitting.
There is overtime 1.5 x wage
Bonuses will be paid out of money paid for CPO class.

Tento zamestnávateľ ti prepláca nasledovné poplatky podľa tvojho dátumu začiatku práce = start date!

Podmienkou preplatenia nižšie uvedených poplatkov je ostať pracovať do end date 7.9.2026 (vrátane).

Ak prídeš do 22.5.2026 = tvoj Start Date, čiže už v tento deň začneš pracovať, zamestnávateľ ti preplatí CELÝ PROGRAMOVÝ POPLATOK v hodnote 1349 USD + Sevis fee 35 USD (v rámci procesu vybavovania víz, čiže tieto poplatky vôbec neplatíš, my ti nevystavujeme žiadnu USD faktúru). Zároveň ti preplatia aj Lifeguard kurz v hodnote 300 USD (preplatia ti ho v USA).

Ak prídeš do 29.5.2026 = tvoj Start Date, čiže už v tento deň začneš pracovať, tak zamestnávateľ ti preplatí 900 USD z tvojho programového poplatku + Sevis fee 35 USD a ty platíš LEN 449 USD.

Ak prídeš do 5.6.2026 (tvoj Start Date čiže už v tento deň začneš pracovať) tak ti zamestnávateľ prispeje sumou 750 USD z tvojho programového poplatku + Sevis fee 35 USD a ty platíš LEN 599 USD.

Ak prídeš po 5.6 – cca do 21.6 zamestnávateľ ťa príjme, ale už nič nepreplatí, hradíš si všetky poplatky sám.

Poolcleaners najneskorší start date: 10. Jún

HOUSING:

Students will be given contact information to landlords for housing by the employer.

Students can find long-term rentals in hotels or motels. There is plenty of student accommodation available in the area, average price is $150-200/week. We can also contact our participants from previous summer seasons, who found housing by themselves and could recommend their landlords.

The resort town of Ocean City near the Atlantic Ocean is one of the most popular areas where W&T students spend their summer. The city hosts between 320,000 and 345,000 vacationers, and up to 8 million visitors annually. Hundreds of hotels, restaurants, and souvenir shops are just steps from the beach and boardwalk.

How to get to work?

Walk, bike, bus, or car depending on the distance from your apartment to the job site. Bikes will be provided for the more remote pool locations.

Pick-up at the airport: not provided

LOCATION:

Activities: beach time, water sports, surfing, fishing, sailing, volleyball, picnicking, free night movies and concerts on the beach during the summer, art, craft and cultural fairs and shows, the Ocean City Air Show, dolphin watching and boat trips to Assateague Island. Shopping in Ocean City’s outlets, malls, boutiques or antique shops.
